Live Library
NGO PROJECT
is
a social media
 event
Identity design

Live Library event organized by a non-profit
organisation "Daj zielone swiatlo" was aimed
to spread awareness about the migration crisis
on the Polish border that began in 2021.

let's check it out
The graphics that I prepared for the NGOs → Instagram and → Facebook pages were depictions of the books that were presented at the Live Library event. In the Live Libary format, a book is a person with a story to tell. Participants can choose the book only by the description – just as you would if you had an actual book in a library in your hand. The dominating green color of the identity comes from the meaning of the NGO, "Daj zielone swiatlo" which means "Show a Green Light".
The goal of the graphics was to interest participants, but also to present the idea in the simplest way possible, because as we have found out, many people didn't understand the format of the Live Library event. That's why I decided to depict the book quite literally to make it easier for the user to grab the idea at the first glance. On their Instagram and Facebook profiles, their galleries turned into Library shelves, where you could click on a book to check it out, as you were taking them in your hand to read the descriptions.
Apart from the graphics I was also responsible for creating typography layouts for social media. They were a crucial part of the profiles as the main goal of the accounts was to spread awareness.
